„Badass Life Changer“ Won’t Fit on a Nametag | Jeniene Matthews | TEDxStMarksSchool

Jeniene Matthews shares a powerful story of redemption that she learned from a student: her own redemption. Once you hear it, you will gain a new appreciation for the power of teaching and why so many choose teaching as their way of making a mark on the world.

When St. Mark's students talk about their favorite class, or the project they’re most excited about, or the most interesting thing they learned this week, or who their toughest teacher is, the person they name most often is Jeniene Matthews.

Fortunately for her students, Jeniene joined the St. Mark’s faculty as an English teacher in 2010 following a highly successful law career. The holder of the Evill-Glavin Teaching Chair, Jeniene Matthews is a beloved teacher, coach and mentor.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
